Photos by the wonderful BW Music Photography. L-space has been i n t h e p r e s s. We're delighted to say that we're EmuBand's Artist of the Week in The Scotsman/Scotsman On Sunday! You can read the article here. We also got a lovely mention in The Skinny this week ("Extraordinary noise-poppers") during an interview with our wonderful label Last Night from Glasgow. You can read it all here. The fine folks at Crash Merch wrote a beautiful review of our show at Sneaky Pete's with Beta Waves and Pocket Knife. "Aesthetically and sonically they exude a distinct yet ageless sci-fi aura; a stranglehold on their governing epoch is impossible to discern — the 1980s by way of the 2180s" You can read the whole article here. Don't forget you can see us at Stereo in Glasgow on the 31st of March for the LNfG Bigger Birthday Bash with the mighty Bis. Photo: James Ewan

"A truly enchanting piece of work" - Louder Than War "a band who seem incapable of making anything other than magical music – a place where classic electronic pop meets the future" - Scots Whay Hae! "...a majestic, intriguing and atmospheric song. The sort of thing you can imagine slotting straight into the soundtrack of a high budget sci-fi flick with all of the soundscapes to match." - KMM Reviews
We're also very happy to have two physical releases as well! You can get Money Can Be Exchanged for Goods and Services, an EP of our pre-Last Night from Glasgow songs, from the label website. We're absolutely delighted to announce our FIRST EVER PHYSICAL RELEASE!
You can buy Money Can Be Exchanged for Goods and Services on the Last Night from Glasgow shop. You can buy the CD for £6 or with a ticket to the SUNEATERS single launch at Sneaky Pete's on the 11th of March for £10. It's an EP of our pre-LNfG songs that will not be appearing on our upcoming album. 1. SOUTHERN REACH This is a noisy, dense, synth-driven instrumental inspired by Jeff Vandermeer's trilogy of the same name. Imagine strange biologies creeping over a still marsh to the sound of crushing synths and crashing beats. We often play this as the opener to our live shows. 2. FILL YOUR HEADS WITH STATIC A firm live favourite, FYHWS is about a cyborg girl entering a small Scottish village to incite a revolution. Retro-futuristic synths build over a complex beat to a dramatic climax. 3. BROTHER MARS This was the first song we recorded at Homegrown Studios in Larbert. It's a gentle, ethereal song that imagines what the first song written by Mars settlers might sound like. Subtle synths and acoustic guitar propel Lily's ethereal, harmonised vocals. 4. BROTHER MARS (NEW LANDS REMIX) A mad synthy remix of Brother Mars. A bitcrushed beat mingles with arpeggiated synths and Lily's slightly mangled vocals to provide a new take on what Martian music might sound like. 5. PROPAGANDA This is a noisy, cinematic instrumental about fake news, propaganda, and the creeping rise of all things unpleasant. A thudding beat constitutes the spine of the song while layer upon layer of vintage vocal samples and heavily distorted synths build to a noisy, wall of noise climax. |
